Kanye West just found out what caused his mother's death -- but he still managed to put on a smile for the cameras over the weekend in SoHo.
For Kanye, this isn't exactly a normal reaction to seeing a lensman on the street where he lives.

5. Good job, Kanye. Keep up the strength. My mom died less than a year ago, too. If your parent dies and you love them and are very close to them, it is truly a life changing experience, and things in your life get re-prioritized. You find yourself reacting differently to situations, because of the effect your parent had in your life - it kind of makes a person snap-to, and grow up - even if we were already "grown".

8. Such brave stuff he's made of - even though having gone through it, I know he's devastated inside. Good on you, Kanye. I hope he reaches out to his true friends and doesn't try to carry it all by himself. That's what friends are for. His Mom wouldn't want him to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders, but to take care of himself, get lots of rest, eat well or take his vitamins, (the real ones!) and perhaps a few extra vacations to just chill along with working it on tour.
